This organisation is for Parent-Carers of children and young people with a disability and additional needs aged 0 - 25 in the London Borough of Barnet. We want all parent-carers to be involved about making decisions and helping to plan for the future for all our families affected by disability and additional needs.

Our next 4 pp4danBarnet Meetings and Training Sessions are:

 1. pp4danBarnet Monthly Meeting and Training Session
9:30am - Friday 24 February 2012 venue to be confirmed.

The topic and training for this meeting will be Emergency Care(r) Plans. How many of us have detailed instructions in place for someone else to take over the caring role if there is an emergency involving the main carer to be elsewhere? You will learn how to set up information that is person centred to try and reduce the stress on the family if you are not there to do everything for your child or young person with a disability and additional needs.

2. pp4danBarnet Monthly Evening Meeting and Training Session
7pm - 9pm - Tuesday 28 February 2012 venue to be confirmed.

A chance for those who cannot make our daytime meetings to catch up on the Emergency Care(r) Plans detailed above.

3. pp4danBarnet Monthly Meeting and Training Session
9:30am - Monday 12 March 2012 venue to be confirmed.

Stress Management 1 is the training for this session. How to recognise the symptoms and explore ways of reducing the stress in our lives and yes, easier said than done! Delivered by a Carer for Carers so a realistic, understanding approach.

4. pp4danBarnet Monthly Evening Meeting and Training Session
7pm - 9pm - date and venue to be confirmed.

A chance for those who cannot make our daytime meetings to catch up on the Stress Management 1 detailed above.
